General

Welcome to Revive.so, a dynamic plugin designed to revitalize your content strategy. In this guide, we’ll delve into the ‘General’ section, specifically focusing on the primary option called ‘General.’ Here, you’ll find a range of settings that offer precise control over the republishing process for your posts.

Settings and Functions

  1. Post Republish Eligibility Age

-> This setting allows you to specify the age threshold for posts eligible for republishing. Posts published prior to this designated age will be available for republishing.

Note: The plugin considers the republished date rather than the original publication date for posts that have already been republished.
  2. Select Published Posts Order

-> Choose the method for retrieving older posts from the database. This setting determines the order in which posts are fetched.
  3. Select Published Posts Order by

-> Specify the parameter by which the order of older posts will be determined. By default, posts are ordered based on their publication date.
  4. Exclude Posts Published Before

-> Define a cutoff date for post-eligibility. Posts published after this specified date are considered for republishing, while those published before are excluded from the republishing process. Leaving this field blank imposes no limits.
  5. Thumbnail based Republishing

-> Enable this option to exclusively republish posts that include a valid thumbnail. Posts lacking thumbnails will be disregarded during the republishing process.
  6. Ignore all Sticky Posts

-> Activate this setting to exclude sticky posts from the republishing queue. Only non-sticky posts will be queried for republishing, ensuring a streamlined process.

From defining eligibility criteria based on post age to fine-tuning the order and selection parameters, these features empower you to optimize your content strategy effectively.
